DIY Boat Repairs: A Family Affair

Ep 49 GENOA TRACK installed - https://youtu.be/N04Oktmaz9M

Ahoy, sailors! Welcome back. Today, we're diving into some DIY boat repairs, proving that with a little ingenuity and teamwork, anything is possible.

Our adventure begins with a humble purchase—a car, or rather, a car-shaped piece of equipment meant to run on our T track. With a budget of $115 for all boat-related expenses, we're determined to make every dollar count.

As we inspect the T track, we find dings, bends, and scrapes, but hope springs eternal as we test it out. Despite its imperfections, we're relieved to discover that it's usable, saving us from the hefty cost of replacement.

Next on the agenda: mounting the T track onto the toe rail. With recent rainfall threatening to flood the boat, it's imperative to get this done quickly. As we measure and drill holes, rain clouds loom ominously overhead, but we press on undeterred.

With precision and perseverance, we secure the T track in place, braving the elements and occasional mishaps along the way. The rain may have forced us to retreat indoors temporarily, but nothing can dampen our spirits as we celebrate our progress.

As the mist rolls in and visibility decreases, we forge ahead, working together to ensure the job is done right. Even foggy glasses and dull jigsaw blades can't slow us down—we're on a mission, and nothing can stand in our way.

In the end, our efforts pay off, and we stand back to admire our handiwork. With the T track securely in place, we reflect on the day's achievements, grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow together as a family.

As we bid farewell for now, we invite you to join us on our refit journey. Subscribe and follow along as we navigate the highs and lows of life aboard our beloved vessel. Until next time, fair winds and smooth sailing!
